More than half the population works from home nowadays using some sort of a means to earn themselves a residual amount of money. Some of these people belong to programs, and others have their very own businesses that they work both online and off. I actually have a business that I can call my own and I operate it strictly online and through the telephone, I really have never seen a need to advertise my business offline in the real world because I always make more than enough money online through the virtual world. A lot of people really enjoy working from home for one main reason; they get to be their own boss!

This position has both it's negatives and positives, however, for me the pros definitely outweigh the cons! The best pro is that I am my own boss, what I say goes, I don't have someone looking over my shoulder all the time, and even better when I bring in a new product or service, I can charge whatever I want on it. Now some of the cons are I don't have someone looking over my shoulder all the time, and even better when I bring in a new product or service, I can charge whatever I want on it!

You really need to be a responsible person when owning your own business, screw off all you want in your personal life, but as soon as you start screwing off and getting lazy with your business, that's about the time when people stop ordering from you and that's about the time that profits go lower and lower and lower. This is NOT something that you can just half heatedly "try". This is something you need to commit to, no matter how hard, no matter how many hours you have to work!

Oh, you thought you would have more time off huh? Well in the beginning that's not the way it usually works out! At first your going to need to be there all the time, you're going to have to answer a million questions, you're going to have to get people to trust you, and the only way you can do that is by being trustworthy, reliable and honest. When you say you're going to do something, do it!

Depending on what type of work you want to do from home, have it be working for yourself or for someone else, there are a ton of different roads you can take. If you want to own the business you are in there are several million products you can sell, services you can have, programs you can run, etc. If you want to work from home for someone else, there are also several different ways to go about this, you can either work under someone that has a business as an employee, become an affiliate member at a program or you could even work for companies such as Dell, AT&T, or T-Mobile.

Honestly I never really wanted to work from those places because I hate being a tech person and I hate talking on the phone that long, but if you are a good salesperson or you like being on the phone, then those three choices would be a good option for you!
