If you own a business, one of the best investments that you could make is a fire sprinkler system.

Do you work in a plant that has a fire sprinkler system installed? If you do, do you know if this system works? Has the company you worked for ever had the water sprinkler system run to see if the water comes out of them properly? Most of the time, they will have fire drills to see how fast you can get out of a building, but I'm sure they have never actually run water through these systems to make sure that there are no holes in the lines or to see if any of them are plugged.

Some of these systems are so old that they might not run properly, and they would need to be replaced. These systems are just as important as having all the other fire safety equipment. This system can sometimes save your business from burning to the ground. Also, this system could put out this fire before the fire departments arrived on the site if it is working properly.

Companies of today need to have fire sprinklers systems installed in all buildings that will have any kinds of people in them. Buildings that will hold many people at one time, such as schools, hospitals, churches, and of course factories and even grain elevators are required to have fire sprinkler systems installed. Some of these grain elevators can have a fire started by some bizarre twist of fate. If these systems are in place and working, they will help in saving lives and property.

If you are a new owner of a company and you have just started to build your plant, it is a very good idea to include the installation of these sprinkler systems into your budget. It might be expensive, but it will save you in the long run. After you have your business up and running you should have a monthly check of all of these lines and systems to make sure that there hasn't been any form of damage done to your lines.

It would be a good idea to have a six-month run of water being run through these lines to make sure that they are working. If you need to, you might have to make sure the building is empty before doing this test but if it is not possible, then make sure that you have enough people in the building to clean up the water. For buildings that have people in them at all times, such as hospitals and nursing homes, you will need to do the latter.
