Network marketing success is no different then being successful in any other profession. To be successful in any business you need persistence and focus. Years of training are needed to become a lawyer or a doctor, but network marketing professionals can create a profitable home business within their first year through leverage and with consistent action.

Why would you want to start a network marketing business? Once you answer this simple question you will then have your reason for persevering along with the determination to face every day challenges.

1. Before joining any company make sure they offer plenty of resources such as websites, marketing materials and tools. You should be able to recruit members without spending alot of money.

TIP: Communicate with your team. Do this by email or by phone. Network marketing is all about networking.

2. Learn everything about the company's products, compensation plan, etc. The best way to build your business and answer any questions is with knowledge.

3. Contact your sponsor. Get all the help you can, after all your success will also benefit your sponsor.

4. Once you find a good company, put together a plan, set some goals and then keep working your plan until you make progress. Quite often people don't give a company enough time, they move from one company to another looking for that get rich quick program.

5. Find some good, quality leads. Everyone should use leads to help build their business.

There are many ways to acquire leads online or offline without having to bug your friends and family.

TIP: Don't waste your time or money on marketing methods that don't work. Track your results, find out what works and what doesn't. When something works, keep at it!

6. Make sure the company you pick is financially sound and well established. You should have a good feeling about the company and the products that you will be promoting.

7. Remember that it takes time to build a successful network marketing business. It could take a few months, if not longer for your business to show any growth. Determine that you are going quit for at least one year.

8. Build a good, stable team by first getting a few people under you and then work with them to also get a few and train them to do the same. Once your team understands this concept your network marketing business will take off.
